People Driven Web Hosting

Competitive Innovations, LLC (or CI) is one of only a handful of hosting service providers in the USA who is a certified Kentico Hosting Partner and a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Certified Small Business Concern (SBC). With a 15 plus year track record of success serving the public and Kentico and AWS Hosting Partnerprivate sector, CI began hosting websites for dozens of Capitol Hill member offices at the U.S. House of Representatives way back in 2002 when physical servers where the only option available and "The Cloud” was not even a blip on the web hosting radar.

As cloud computing services have advanced and matured, CI quickly adapted and became an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solution Partner, and possesses the technical knowledge and expertise to provide a comprehensive suite of cloud computing services. These capabilities include compute power, storage, databases, messaging, and other building block services that run business applications. When coupled with a utility-style pricing and business model, cloud computing promises to deliver an enterprise-grade IT infrastructure in a reliable, timely, and cost-effective manner.

In addition to all AWS commercial offerings, CI's has a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) letter of supply with Kentico Software and is authorized to offer AWS hosting in the Amazon Web Services Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) approved "AWS GovCloud Region." Currently, four AWS services are covered by the ATOs, including Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and Elastic Block Store (EBS). Amazon Web Services plans to add other services in the future.

Why Host your Kentico Website in the Cloud?

Trade capital expense for variable expense

Instead of having to invest heavily in data centers and servers before you know how you’re going to use them, you can only pay when you consume computing resources, and only pay for how much you consume.

Benefit from massive economies of scale

By using cloud computing, you can achieve a lower variable cost than you can get on your own. Because usage from hundreds of thousands of customers are aggregated in the cloud, providers such as Amazon Web Services can achieve higher economies of scale which translates into lower pay as you go prices.

Stop guessing capacity

Eliminate guessing on your infrastructure capacity needs. When you make a capacity decision prior to deploying an application, you often either end up sitting on expensive idle resources or dealing with limited capacity. With Cloud Computing, these problems go away. You can access as much or as little as you need, and scale up and down as required with only a few minutes notice.

Increase speed and agility

In a cloud computing environment, new IT resources are only ever a click away, which means you reduce the time it takes to make those resources available to your developers from weeks to just minutes. This results in a dramatic increase in agility for the organization, since the cost and time it takes to experiment and develop is significantly lower.

Stop spending money on running and maintaining data centers

Focus on projects that differentiate your business, not the infrastructure. Cloud computing lets you focus on your own customers, rather than on the heavy lifting of racking, stacking and powering servers.

Go global in minutes

Easily deploy your application in multiple regions around the world with just a few clicks. This means you can provide a lower latency and better experience for your customers simply and at minimal cost.

Planning Your Next Steps

When considering a move to the cloud, the first thing to do is make sure that your IT plan aligns with your organization’s business model and core competencies. Contact CI today and we’ll help you determine what key areas of your business are best served in a cloud computing infrastructure.
